It has been a beautiful early spring day. Honey and I walked around the circle and on the inside path like we have done so many times before. How can it be that each time the sounds are the same.....and yet different! The highlights and shadows created by the golden sunshine helped to make it possible to capture the feelings I was having as I listened to a mourning dove "talking" to another one in the distance, the sparrow telling me to go away so that she could feed her babies and not disclose where she had hidden them, the perky Mockingbird flitting from tree to tree before going into the shrub where her very vocal little ones welcomed her as she brought them their a snack and the bull frog began his deep, vibrant "talking" to others who might hear him and respond. The sun was sinking and the sunbeams would be gone soon. Dusk is a very special time.......it is the interim.......bright sunlight turns into a golden glow and then gradually fades into night. Each second is totally different and it is necessary to click frame after frame.....quickly.....in order to capture the sunset. I have always been amazed at how quickly this happens. I was sitting on our bench by the middle lake watching the shadows creep across the lake and lawn........remembering other days. With the sun gone, it little-by-little began to get cooler....... it was time for our "fuzzy, four-footed daughter" and me to head down the path to home. A day like today is evidence that............life is good!!!
